About Le Freek

Le Freek is an independent Melbourne accessories brand founded by Rachel.

We make bags and carry pieces for lives that rarely stay in one lane. Work, travel, school runs, weekends away, dinner, last-minute plans (often all in the same day!).

The starting point is always practical: what needs to fit, how something feels to carry, what makes it easier to find, reach or move with. But usefulness is only half the story.

We like useful things with a bit of surprise - good to look at, good to touch, satisfying to use and designed to earn their place in your life.

That might mean a woven handle where you expect something plain, a lightning bolt motif, a buttery soft suede body, a leather-lined interior or an unexpected colour combination that makes a practical object feel a little more expressive.

Le Freek grew from Rachel’s earlier handbag label, Be Hold, but the idea had widened. The name came from the idea of freedom - freedom to move, change, choose and do things your own way. It has a little attitude to it: playful, unexpected and not too well behaved.

We’re not interested in organisation for organisation’s sake. Thoughtful design should help to remove friction, create space and give you more freedom to move, change your mind and carry what matters.

Because carrying can easily become another form of managing - your things, your responsibilities, everyone else’s needs. We want the objects you carry to do the opposite: create a little more ease, a little more expression and a little more room for how you want to live.

That’s what Room For More Of You means to us.
